Soon Foundation for the Arts is an independent nonprofit commissioning permanent works of contemporary art and architecture in Alaska.

We are in the early stages, holding land, working with our first artists and building the foundation's programs. We will post accurate timelines as we have them.

Contributions may be deductible under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code to the extent permitted by law. Please consult your tax advisor.

On giving

Contributions support the foundation's general operations: artist fees, materials, documentation, and the long work of preparing sites in a place where building is slow and seasonal.

We accept gifts of any size, one-time or recurring, from individuals, companies, and entities.

Gifts are unrestricted unless otherwise agreed in writing. If you represent a foundation, institution, or collection and would like to discuss supporting a specific commission, please write to us directly at info@soonfoundation.org.

We are open to correspondence

We would like to hear from artists working with land, material, ritual, and duration; from curators and writers; from architects and builders working in cold climates; Alaskans who are interested in participation; and from anyone who wants to follow the work as it develops.
